This round of the Global LEAP Awards features competitions for televisions and fans that are designed for use with off-grid solar energy systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All Global LEAP Awards finalists have had their quality, durability, and energy performance evaluated according to international test laboratory best practices, and each finalist has been evaluated by a panel of off-grid market and technology experts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Global Leap Award is an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial\u2019s Global Lighting and Energy Access Partnership and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. The seventh Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7), is an annual meeting of energy ministers and other high-level delegates from the 23 CEM member countries and the European Commission. The goal is to provide an opportunity for the major economies to collaborate on solutions that advance clean energy globally and demonstrate tangible follow-up actions to COP21.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, CEM7 is expected to include global energy leaders such as China\u2019s Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang; Maro\u0161 \u0160ef\u010dovi\u010d, Vice President for EU\u2019s Energy Union; and India\u2019s Minister of Power, Coal &amp; New &amp; Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal.
